What can I say, H.D. Carlton can do no wrong. This was such a thrilling read, not what I was expecting at all. The plot twists and unexpected turns kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. My goodness, Enzo was just chef’s kiss. His character was complex and incredibly well-developed, making him an unforgettable protagonist. And Sawyer was such a badass FMC! Her strength and resilience throughout the story were truly inspiring. Together, Enzo and Sawyer were perfection! Their chemistry was electric, and their dynamic was intense and captivating. H.D. Carlton’s ability to create such vivid and compelling characters is unmatched, and this book is a testament to her incredible storytelling skills.⁠

This story took me by surprise. I went in blind and didn’t expect it to be so unhinged! The twists and turns were absolutely mind-blowing, and the suspense kept me hooked until the very last page. I was really creeped out throughout the whole book. H.D. Carlton is a phenomenal author; her writing is just so captivating. The atmosphere she created was eerie and chilling, making for a truly immersive reading experience. I was addicted from the second I picked up the book. I LOVED Enzo so much; his character was both enigmatic and endearing. Enzo and Sawyer together made for the most electric couple, their chemistry was off the charts, and I adored every second of their interactions. This book was a wild ride, and I enjoyed every moment of it.⁠
