The Words by Ashley Jade is an emotional and angsty rockstar romance that completely took me by surprise in the best possible way. From the moment I started, I was drawn into the depth of this story, especially in the first half, which utterly captivated me. Lennon is such a strong and relatable FMC, while Phoenix embodies the perfect blend of a hot, complex, and slightly broken rockstar. The chemistry between them is electrifying, and the rollercoaster of emotions they go through together kept me glued to the pages. Although I wasn't expecting to enjoy the rockstar theme, it added a thrilling edge to the plot, bringing a raw and edgy vibe that I really appreciated. If you’re on the hunt for a romance that’s emotionally intense, addictively angsty, and irresistibly gripping, this is one you won’t want to miss!
“Don’t let your insecurities overpower that which makes your soul come alive. Otherwise, you’ll walk this earth never feeling whole…and that’s no way to live.”

My only regret with The Words is not picking it up sooner. It's a five-million-star read that takes you on an emotional journey, making you feel everything from happiness and giddiness to heartbreak and angst. This is hands down the best second-chance romance I’ve ever come across. From the very first page, I was completely hooked and devoured it in no time, unwilling to put it down. The story is beautifully crafted, and the character development is top-notch. Phoenix and Lennon have become my latest obsession—their journey from teenage love to heartbreak and their eventual reconnection is simply captivating. The intensity of their emotions and the sheer depth of their relationship is portrayed so well, and the angst is off the charts! Even though I had never read a rockstar romance or a story dealing with substance abuse before, I found this one deeply gripping. The side characters also stood out, adding even more layers to the narrative. I actually squealed with joy when I discovered that there’s a spin-off book featuring my two favorite side characters. Overall, this book is a rollercoaster of emotions, and I loved how every character was portrayed with such rawness and flaws. The Words cuts deep, but its journey of pain and healing is unforgettable.

The Words was a captivating read from beginning to end, and as my first "rockstar romance," it introduced me to a thrilling blend of music, drama, and deep emotions. The plot was incredibly engaging, with unexpected twists and turns that kept me eager to see what would happen next. What really stood out to me were the richly developed characters—they were full of complexities and real emotions, which made it easy to connect with them on a deeper level. Each chapter pulled me further into their world, and I found myself experiencing their struggles and triumphs alongside them. This book masterfully combines romance, heartbreak, and self-discovery, making it a truly compelling read for anyone looking to dive into an emotional journey.
