Sicko By Amo Jones

Sicko by Amo Jones
Tropes: Foster Siblings, Dark Romance, Taboo, MC Club, Plot Twists, Forbidden Love
Summary:
Sicko by Amo Jones is a raw, gritty, and emotionally charged dark romance that dives into the brutal underworld of motorcycle clubs, trauma, and forbidden love. The story follows Jade and her foster brother Royce, once close, until Royce disappeared without a trace, leaving Jade to endure the unthinkable. Years later, he returns... but he’s no longer the boy she loved. He’s Sicko, the vice president of the Wolf Pack MC and nothing will ever be the same again.
This book is not for the faint of heart. It’s unflinching, dark, and twisted, but ultimately, it’s a gripping tale of survival, healing, and the kind of love that endures everything, even the shadows of the past.

Obsessed doesn’t even come close to how I feel about Sicko. This book consumed me. From the very first chapter, I was drawn into Royce and Jade’s world. The early chapters felt almost like a contemporary coming-of-age story and then suddenly, the vibe shifts, and you’re pulled into something much darker, grittier, and more intense.
The way Amo explores trauma, survival, and love through these characters is masterful. Royce (aka Sicko) is the epitome of a morally grey antihero, and yet you can’t help but root for him. And Jade? Her strength blew me away. Even in the darkest moments, she held on to her power.
The plot twists toward the end were absolutely wild, each one more shocking than the last. I had to sit in silence when I finished. If you’re after a book that balances darkness and emotional payoff with insane chemistry, Sicko is a must-read.
“She's not just my rock, she's my whole fucking world. I knew that from day one. My life began with her, and It'll end with her.”

After reading four Amo Jones books, I can confidently say Sicko is my absolute favourite. It’s everything I love in dark romance, taboo, raw, twisted and yet written with so much depth and emotional intensity.
Royce and Jade’s bond is magnetic and impossible to look away from. Even through heartbreak, separation, and chaos, their connection remains. You feel every ounce of pain and love between them. What struck me most was how real it all felt. Their love isn’t clean or easy, it’s messy, brutal, and honest.
Jade is one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever read. Her quiet resilience, unwavering spirit, and refusal to break made her unforgettable. The trauma she goes through is heavy, but Amo Jones handles it with such care and purpose.
Sicko will challenge you, wreck you, and stay with you. It’s not just a book, it’s an experience. And I couldn’t love it more.
“Family. Six letters, one meaning, but double-sided. Family could be the reason why you trust someone, or it can be the reason why you’d never trust anyone again.”

I wasn’t sure how I felt in the first few chapters. The beginning felt heavy and uncomfortable but I think that’s exactly what made it so impactful. As the story unfolded, I found myself completely immersed. No Tomorrow grabbed me by the heart and never let go.
Carian Cole’s writing is absolutely stunning. This was my first read by her, and I’m blown away. I don’t usually gravitate toward rockstar romances, but this book flipped that for me. The connection between Piper and Blue is haunting, magnetic, and deeply emotional. They’re twin flames, soulmates in the most chaotic, beautiful, heartbreaking way.
And the twist? I genuinely didn’t see it coming. This book made me feel everything—grief, love, pain, longing, and even hope. It’s messy, it’s real, and it completely wrecked me… but in the best way.
“I’ve always loved the defiance of the ocean. It’s moody, beautiful, and could kill you if you’re not smart enough to handle its currents.”
If you’re craving a dark romance that pushes limits and breaks hearts, Sicko is one you won’t forget. With gritty MC vibes, explosive chemistry, and raw emotional depth, this book grips you from the very first page. Amo Jones pulls no punches—and we loved every second of it.
