Ruthless Creatures surprised me in many ways! While I usually struggle with insta-love, this book still had plenty to keep me intrigued. The tension between Natalie and Kage was electric, and I loved how their chemistry leaped off the page. The story really picks up in the last third, delivering unexpected twists and action that had me flipping pages late into the night. While J.T. Geissinger’s writing style isn’t always my personal favorite, I can appreciate how she crafts such passionate and intense stories. If you love dominant anti-heroes and high-stakes romance, this book is worth the read!

By the end, all my questions were answered, and I was left dying to dive into the next book in the series. If you love intense, passionate love stories with a dark edge, you’ll love this one!

I’ll admit, Ruthless Creatures took a little while to fully hook me, but once it did, I couldn’t put it down. The slow build in the first half was necessary to set up the explosive drama and emotional intensity of the second half. The moment the secrets started unraveling, I was fully invested in the story. While insta-love isn’t my favorite trope, I still found myself drawn to the magnetic relationship between Natalie and Kage. The action, suspense, and undeniable passion made for a gripping read. If you’re looking for a mafia romance with heat, tension, and a strong-willed heroine, this book is definitely worth picking up!
