Psychotic Obsession was one of my most highly anticipated reads of the year, and Leigh Rivers did not disappoint. After devouring Edge of Darkness and Web of Silence, I was dying for Tobias and Aria’s story. What I got was so much more than I ever expected. The last quarter of this book was pure adrenaline—fast-paced, high-stakes, and emotionally gutting. I couldn’t read fast enough, yet I didn’t want it to end.
Tobias is unlike any character I’ve read. His darkness runs so deep, but Leigh balances that with glimpses of vulnerability that completely wrecked me. And then there’s Ewan—unexpectedly, the light in all the chaos. His loyalty and quiet strength gave the story so much heart.
Leigh Rivers has mastered the art of creating tension, pain, and unforgettable characters. Psychotic Obsession proves once again that she’s a force in dark romance. I’ll read anything she writes.
“I am, but a pretty little thing like you can call me Tobias.”

Leigh Rivers has officially ruined me—in the best way. Psychotic Obsession is without a doubt my favorite read of the year. I’ve been waiting for Tobias and Aria’s story since I finished The Edge of Darkness trilogy, but nothing could have prepared me for how emotionally destructive and twisted this book would be.
From page one, I was obsessed. Tobias is magnetic, terrifying, and heartbreakingly human all at once. We get glimpses of who he was from previous books, but this time, we dive headfirst into the chaos of his mind. It’s dark, it's messy, it’s toxic—and I couldn’t look away. His love for Aria is violent and possessive, but somehow, I felt for him every step of the way.
Please check trigger warnings—this book will break you. It shattered me in the best way possible, and I still haven’t recovered. If you haven’t read The Edge of Darkness trilogy yet, do yourself a favor and start there. You’ll thank me later.
“For those who crave darkness yet hide in the light. You can come out now. Tobias is home.”

This book caught me completely off guard and I loved every second.
Going into Psychotic Obsession, I expected a standard dark romance. What I got was a brutal, mind-bending ride that flipped everything I thought I knew about the Made Me Sin world on its head. Honestly, I think this book would’ve made the perfect starting point to the series. It sets the tone beautifully and gives so much depth to the characters we meet later in Edge of Darkness.
Tobias is deeply broken in the most fascinating way. The way his obsession with Aria spirals is chilling yet emotionally complex. And just when I thought I had the story figured out—bam—Leigh hits us with another twist.
The emotional whiplash was real. I laughed, I cried, I panicked, and I nearly threw my Kindle a few times. Ewan, in particular, stood out to me. He brought a softness and sincerity that grounded the entire book. His scenes had me tearing up near the end.
Leigh Rivers absolutely nailed this one. If you haven’t read Psychotic Obsession yet, move it to the top of your list.
“Marry him. Go live your life and raise our kids. Make sure he makes you happier than I ever can, but just know, once I’m out, I’m coming for you.”
