I went into The Monster Trilogy not knowing what to expect—and came out completely ruined in the best way. From the very first chapter of Blood of My Monster, I was hooked. I wasn’t sure I’d be into the dynamic between Kirill and Sasha, but within a few chapters, I was obsessed.

Kirill isn’t just a new favorite—he’s the favorite. He’s sharp, strategic, and dangerous, yet somehow makes glasses and intellect criminally sexy. He’s cold and calculating, but there’s something so captivating about the way he unravels around Sasha. And Sasha? She’s an absolute force. Her resilience, her loyalty to Kirill’s sister, her strength in the face of everything—she’s one of the best heroines Rina Kent has written.

The way each book builds on the last is seamless. The tension escalates, the plot thickens, and the emotional pull becomes impossible to resist. Blood of My Monster was a one-sitting read for me, and that ending? Torture—in the best way. Lies of My Monster hits even harder, and Heart of My Monster gave me everything I needed and more. Seeing Kirill soft for Sasha, completely whipped and obsessed, was the ultimate payoff.

This series is Rina Kent at her best—dark, twisty, emotional, and absolutely unputdownable. It’s the kind of series that lingers long after the final page. If you love brilliant anti-heroes, slow-burn obsession, and heroines who never back down, you need this trilogy.

“So what happens now?” I ask after I finish cleaning the blood. “Now”—a slow smirk tilts his lips—“I take over the world, Sasha. And you’ll be right by my side.”

🤍 AD -

This trilogy completely consumed me. I knew going in that it was going to be intense, but nothing could have prepared me for just how addicted I’d become to Sasha and Kirill’s story. From Blood of My Monster to Heart of My Monster, Rina Kent delivered a dark, emotional, and utterly captivating ride that I’ll be thinking about for a long time.

Let’s start with Blood of My Monster—the tension, the secrets, the forbidden dynamic between Sasha (posing as a male bodyguard) and her superior, Kirill… it was everything. I waited to read this book because I just knew it would be incredible, and I was so right. The mafia/military setting added an extra layer of danger, and the slow-burn romance had me hanging on every word. Kirill’s icy control and Sasha’s hidden identity created a push-and-pull so intense, I devoured the book in a day. That final scene? “Don’t. Go.” It absolutely broke me.

Then came Lies of My Monster, and just when I thought I was getting a softer version of Kirill—nope. This book dragged me through every emotion imaginable. Sasha’s vulnerability, her persistence, her pain—it was raw and real. And Kirill? He remained infuriatingly unreadable, and yet I loved him even more. Their chemistry is messy and maddening in the best way. The lies, the twists, the heartbreak—it wrecked me. I had no idea who to trust or what to believe, and I couldn’t stop reading.

Heart of My Monster brought it all home in the most satisfying way. Kirill, fully obsessed and protective of Sasha, was exactly the arc I needed. His walls finally came down, and the way he loved her felt earned and powerful. Watching their dynamic shift into something deeper was beautiful. Plus, the side characters—Anton, Maks, Kristina, Karina—they added so much depth to the story. I found myself loving every moment with them, too.

This trilogy is hands-down in my Rina Kent top three. Kirill is my favorite of her morally grey heroes—brilliant, brutal, obsessive, and somehow still manages to make your heart race for all the right (and wrong) reasons. Sasha is just as unforgettable—fierce, loyal, and impossible to break.

If you’re craving a dark romance with gut-wrenching angst, plot twists, sizzling chemistry, and characters who leave a mark—The Monster Trilogy is an absolute must-read.

“He might be a monster, but he’s my monster. And I refuse to have it any other way.”

💙 AG -

I flew through this series like my life depended on it. I was hooked from the very first chapter of Blood of My Monster and didn’t stop reading until I finished the final book. When I say it blew away my expectations—I mean it.

The mafia elements gave the story so much grit and danger. Kirill is that cold, calculating villain you shouldn’t fall for… but absolutely will. He’s ruthless and brilliant, and the tension between him and Sasha is off the charts. The slow-burn enemies-to-lovers progression was done so well—I felt every bit of the push and pull.

The cliffhangers at the end of book one and two were wild. I had no choice but to binge-read the entire trilogy. Every twist and emotional turn had me on edge. Rina Kent did something special with this one.

The Monster Trilogy is easily one of her best works to date. It’s dark, addictive, and emotionally gripping—an absolute must-read for dark romance lovers.

“She wants to kill me the next time she sees me? By all means. Anything for my beautiful wife.”
