Summary:

In Lawless God, the explosive finale to Lola King’s North Shore series, the Queen of the North Shore meets her match in the King of Chaos.

Kayla “The Ruthless” King has built her empire from blood and power: commanding her crew with precision, strength, and zero mercy. But when Nathan White, the psychopath she sent to prison, returns seeking revenge, her world shatters. Nathan doesn’t want her dead, he wants her to suffer.

What begins as a battle for dominance quickly spirals into something more dangerous: obsession. Captured and stripped of control, Kayla finds herself at war not only with Nathan but with her own dark desires. Their connection burns with tension, fury, and forbidden need and soon, lines blur between love and hate, vengeance and surrender.

Brutal, emotional, and intoxicating, Lawless God is a masterful end to a dark romance saga that will leave readers breathless.

💚 LD

I don’t even know where to start, Lawless God absolutely wrecked me. As the finale of the North Shore series, it’s everything I wanted and so much more. The tension, the chaos, the emotional whiplash, it was perfection.

Kayla is a powerhouse of a heroine. She’s fierce, calculating, and refuses to be anyone’s victim. Seeing her vulnerability come to the surface without losing that ruthless edge was one of my favourite parts of the entire series. She’s the definition of a dark romance queen.

Then there’s Nathan White. The Lawless God. He’s dangerous, manipulative, and unhinged and I loved every second of him. Lola King crafted him so well that you’re constantly fighting between wanting to hate him and falling completely under his spell. The way he fixates on Kayla, studying her every move, her emotions, her reactions, it’s intoxicating.

Their relationship is the definition of toxic, but the chemistry? Off the charts. Every scene between them felt like an explosion waiting to happen. And that ending… I’m not ashamed to say I cried. Lawless God is bold, brutal, and unforgettable: the perfect end to one of the most addictive series I’ve ever read.

“I want to touch my little sunflower and feel her soft petals between my fingers. I want to make her mine over and over again, so she has no doubt in her mind who she belongs to. I want something as simple as feeling my wife close to me.”

🤍 AD -

I devoured Lawless God! As the fourth and final book in the North Shore series, it’s hands down my favourite. Lola King wasn’t kidding when she said we’d end up with Stockholm syndrome by the end.

Nathan was everything, his unhinged, psychotic self had me hooked from start to finish. His inability to interpret emotions yet his obsession with understanding Kayla’s feelings, especially that commanding “Name it!”, had me absolutely melting.

And Kayla? An icon. Fierce, unyielding, and unapologetically strong, she’s the perfect queen to Nathan’s chaotic kingdom. Their dynamic is toxic in every possible way, but the tension, the banter, and the way they constantly push and pull each other made it impossible to look away.

The twists hit hard, the emotions ran deep, and that ending destroyed me in the best way possible. Lola King gave us the perfect conclusion to a series that defines dark romance: raw, relentless, and unforgettable.

“To all my girls who will have Stockholm syndrome by the end of this book. Nate is manipulating you. But you’ll love it anyway.”

💙 AG -

I didn’t think Lola King could top Heartless Saint or Beautiful Fiend, but Lawless God completely blew me away. This was the perfect finale, violent, emotional, and beautifully unhinged.

Kayla’s character arc is phenomenal. She’s not just the ruthless leader we met before; she’s layered, vulnerable, and human beneath the armour. Watching her fight for control while being completely outmatched by Nathan was breathtaking.

Nathan, though… he’s one of the most complex antiheroes I’ve ever read. He’s savage, manipulative, and yet, there’s this haunting depth to him. His obsession with Kayla isn’t romantic: it’s primal. Their connection feels dangerous and inevitable, like a car crash you can’t look away from.

The storytelling was masterful. Every twist felt earned, every scene was loaded with tension, and the ending left me both heartbroken and satisfied. If you love dark, emotional, enemies-to-lovers stories with jaw-dropping intensity, Lawless God is an absolute must-read.

“When a devastatingly beautiful blue-eyed monster hides under your bed, ready to eat you whole, are you meant to let your body react to him? And if not, what am I supposed to do to stop him?”

Lola King doesn’t hold back in Lawless God. The fourth and final book in the North Shore series is a chaotic, emotional rollercoaster—filled with danger, desire, and the kind of tension that will make your heart race. If you thought you’d recovered from the last three books, think again. This finale is explosive, unhinged, and utterly unforgettable.
