I was not emotionally nor mentally prepared for this book! My poor little heart broke a million times over for Adeline. The first half of this book was utterly heartbreaking, filled with cruel and sinister moments that made it really difficult to read at times. 3 MONTHS LATER broke me! It was a pivotal point that left me breathless. I loved witnessing Zade’s unwavering support as he helped Adeline confront her trauma and evolve into the badass she ultimately becomes. Their journey together was inspiring and beautifully crafted. And let's not forget Sibby—she absolutely nailed her role in their lives! One of my favorite aspects of this duet is how H.D. Carlton shines a light on the harsh realities of trafficking in our world. The powerful meaning behind this story is profound and resonated with me deeply.

WOW. I wasn’t prepared for the intensity of this book at all! The first half was soul-crushing and incredibly difficult to get through, so make sure to check the trigger warnings before diving in. However, part two transformed the entire duet, showcasing Adeline’s admirable character development. This book truly was a rollercoaster of emotions—I was hooked from beginning to end! Zade Meadows… wow! As for Sibby, my god, I love that girl! She brought so much humor and strength to the story. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever fully get over this duet; it’s one of those reads that stays with you long after you turn the last page.

The first half of this book was absolutely insane! I found myself in a chokehold as the story unfolded—it was so messed up yet so compelling. However, the second part took everything to the next level; the character development was out of this world! I was definitely hooked from start to finish. Zade and Adeline complement each other perfectly, their chemistry is palpable and their bond is beautifully portrayed. This book is a testament to resilience and love, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a gripping read.
