Rina Kent delivered a rollercoaster of emotions with The Deception Trilogy. From the very first book, Vow of Deception, I was completely hooked by the twists and turns. Adrian was such a complex character—one moment I thought he had a sweet, caring side, and the next, I hated how he treated Winter. Winter’s resilience and fight to hold onto her identity made her journey so captivating. By the end of the first book, I was left speechless with the incredible cliffhanger.
Tempted by Deception picked up seamlessly, answering so many of the questions that had been haunting me from the first book. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the story being set in the past, but it turned out to be one of the most captivating parts of the trilogy. Adrian’s obsession with Lia felt so intense and raw, and the story only deepened my investment in their dynamic. The twists kept coming, and once again, I was left with a jaw-dropping ending.
The final book, Consumed by Deception, was the perfect conclusion. Watching Lia overcome her demons and find her strength was so empowering. Her growth throughout the trilogy was inspiring, and her reconciliation with Adrian and Jeremy felt deeply satisfying. All the questions I had were answered, and the ending left my heart full. This trilogy was an absolute masterpiece, and Rina Kent once again proved she’s a storytelling goddess.
“What do I smell like?”
“Like roses and fucking addictions.”
“How do you know what addictions smell like?”
“I didn’t. Until you.”

From start to finish, The Deception Trilogy kept me on my toes. Adrian was such a morally grey and unpredictable character, and I couldn’t help but be fascinated by his complex nature. In Vow of Deception, I was thrown into a world of confusion and intrigue. Adrian’s harshness toward Winter was difficult to read at times, but it made me root for her even more as she struggled to hold on to her identity. The ending was shocking and left me eager for more.
In Tempted by Deception, everything started to come together in such a brilliant way. The shift to the past added so much depth to Adrian and Lia’s story, and I found myself even more obsessed with their dynamic. Adrian’s possessiveness and obsession with Lia were both captivating and unsettling, but it made their story impossible to put down. And yet again, the book ended with a cliffhanger that left me desperate to dive into the final installment.
Consumed by Deception delivered on every level. Lia’s growth was incredible—watching her face her struggles, find her strength, and come out on top was so rewarding. The way Rina Kent tied everything together, answering all the questions and bringing Lia and Adrian’s story full circle, was pure perfection. The toxic love between Adrian and Lia evolved into something undeniably beautiful, and the ending was everything I could’ve hoped for. This trilogy is unforgettable and has solidified my love for Rina Kent’s writing.
“You asked when I’d be done. The answer is never. I’ll never be done with you, Lenochka.”

The Deception Trilogy was nothing short of phenomenal! Vow of Deception had me completely thrown—I couldn’t predict anything, and the twists and turns kept me guessing the entire time. Adrian was such a layered character; I didn’t know whether to love or hate him, and that constant back-and-forth made the story even more engaging. Winter’s struggles were heartbreaking, but her determination made her such a compelling character to root for.
Tempted by Deception took everything to the next level. All the lingering questions from the first book were answered in ways I didn’t see coming, and the deeper dive into Adrian and Lia’s past made their story even more gripping. I loved seeing how everything tied together, but the tension and cliffhanger ending ensured that the stakes stayed high for the final book.
Consumed by Deception was an absolute masterpiece. Lia’s journey of overcoming betrayal, lies, and heartbreak to become stronger than ever was inspiring. Despite all the toxicity in their relationship, Adrian and Lia’s love was undeniable, and the way they fought for each other made their ending so satisfying. The trilogy came full circle, and I loved how every thread connected beautifully. Rina Kent crafted a story that was both heartbreaking and unforgettable—this series is a must-read!
“...I told you how different my love is, how dark it can get, but I do love you, more than I've ever loved anyone in my life. I don't only need you; I also genuinely cannot live without you and the light you bring to my darkness. I know you deserve better, but I'm unable to let you go, so I'll try my best to be worthy of you, Lenochka.”
