Bully romance is not usually my genre, so you can imagine my surprise when Rina Kent's 'Cruel King' had me completely captivated! The beginning was challenging due to the intense bullying, but once Levi and Astrid's relationship began to develop, I couldn't put the book down. The plot twist was masterfully executed, leaving me on the edge of my seat. Rina Kent's writing style and character development are truly exceptional, making this book a standout in the genre. The transformation of the characters and their journey together kept me hooked until the very end.
“He’s like gasoline, waiting for a spark to erupt so he can leave ashes in his wake. I’m not sure whether I’m the spark or the ashes. Or both.”

Rina Kent continues to impress with another book that I absolutely devoured! Cruel King is a testament to her ability to create complex and compelling characters. I fell in love with Astrid and Levi's dynamic, making this one of the best bully romances I've ever read. Despite hearing that this book is often considered the least favourite in the series by some, I found it to be incredibly engaging and can't wait to read the rest of the series. While I did expect more grovelling, Astrid's quick forgiveness and Levi's intense obsession added a unique flavour to their relationship that I thoroughly enjoyed.
“Tell me you’re mine, Princess. Tell me you won’t let anyone else touch you the way I do. Tell me you won’t change or leave me.”
