Welcome back, Rina Kent and what a way to return!
I’ll be honest.. at first, I wasn’t sure how I felt. But a few chapters in, everything clicked and I was completely hooked. Beautiful Venom quickly turned into the kind of book you can’t stop thinking about.
Kane Davenport might be one of Rina’s most dangerously captivating heroes yet. He’s magnetic, powerful, and absolutely addictive. Dark but calculated, protective yet ruthless, he had me falling before I even realised it.
I didn’t connect with Dahlia as strongly as I’d hoped, but her fierce independence, loyalty to her family, and the way she holds her ground made her compelling in her own right. Together? Their chemistry was undeniable.
This book had everything I love in a dark romance: revenge, power games, secret societies, mind-blowing twists and yes, hockey. Some spicy scenes weren’t totally my vibe, but overall, the plot and tension had me glued.
Plus, the setup for future couples? So good. I can already tell I’m going to be obsessed with the rest of this series. Rina’s world-building and ability to weave in multiple layers of intrigue is unmatched.
“He’s not the green flag I mistook him for, but he’s not entirely red either. He’s a mixture of colors, and I’m growing attached to all of them. The red, the green, the black. All.”

From the first chapter, Beautiful Venom had me by the throat in the best way. This book is dark, delicious, and every bit the rollercoaster I expect from Rina Kent.
Kane Davenport is the kind of hero who ruins you for all others. He’s deadly charming, wicked smart, and a total mastermind when it comes to emotional manipulation and yet, you can't help but fall for him. Every moment he shared with Dahlia was electric.
I loved how the story combined the edge of dark academia with the brutal politics of secret societies. You’re constantly second-guessing everyone’s motives. The tension is thick, the chemistry is scorching, and the twists? They hit hard.
This isn’t just a dark college romance, it’s a mind game, a power play, and a survival story. One wrong move, one misplaced trust, and everything could collapse.
I couldn’t stop reading, and I’m already dying for the next book. If you love morally grey heroes, sharp heroines, and high-stakes romance, do not miss this.
“I’m your winter, Dahlia. No flower can survive winter. Not even wildflowers.”

Beautiful Venom is everything I love about Rina Kent’s writing.. twisted, intense, and completely unputdownable.
The story had me from page one. The world of the Vipers was so layered and dark, and the atmosphere gave major secret society-meets-dark academia vibes. It was haunting and alluring all at once.
Kane absolutely stole the show for me. He’s the perfect mix of green flag and red flag energy. He’s smooth, smart, and lethal—and when he chooses you, there’s no escape. His chemistry with Dahlia was off the charts, and their push-and-pull had me constantly on edge.
Every chapter peeled back a new secret, and just when I thought I had it figured out, bam! Rina hits you with another twist. I loved that.
This book is smart, sexy, and layered with tension and betrayal. It’s easily one of my favorite reads of the year. I cannot wait to see where this series goes next.
“I thought if I chopped off the branches, it’d all be over, but I failed to realise that she left her roots somewhere I didn’t know existed.”
