Book Bedazzling Night, Round Three: Still Our Favourite Craft Night

Friday 2 October, and we did it all over again.

Three Book Bedazzling Nights in, and every single one has sold out. At this point it isn't a trial run, it's a fixture, and honestly it's become one of the best nights in our calendar.

Sophia and The Booklover Society, again

As always, the night belonged to Sophia from The Booklover Society. She brings all her own equipment, sets the whole space up, and hosts from start to finish.

She has run enough of these now that she can read a room instantly, and the result is a night where nobody feels like the only person who has never done a craft before.

How it works

Bring a book you love, or grab one off our shelves on the night, and rhinestone it until it belongs on display. Every material is provided, Sophia talks you through the whole process, and no experience is needed at all.

The doors close, the café is ours, and within ten minutes everybody has glue on their fingers and a very strong opinion about colour placement.

What's next

October is packed. Love Your Bookshop Day on Saturday the 10th, Paint Your Own Book Edges on Saturday the 17th, and our ACOTAR 6 midnight release party on Monday the 26th. Check our events page and follow @trilogyofromancebookcafe for announcements, plus @thebookloversociety_ for everything Sophia is running around Melbourne.

Need a book to bedazzle? Shop online here or browse in person at 109 Maribyrnong Rd, Ascot Vale.

Thank you to Sophia, and to everyone who spent another Friday night covering paperbacks in gemstones with us.
