Our First Author Event with Alexandra Moody And What a Night

Last Tuesday, we hosted our very first author event and what a night.

We've dreamed of hosting events like this for so long. When we opened the cafe in Ascot Vale, the vision was always more than just a place to buy books, it was a room for the people who love them. Last Tuesday, that vision came true.

For our very first author event, we welcomed NYT bestselling author Alexandra Moody to the cafe, in conversation with Amy Doak, to celebrate the release of Wild Darling the third novel in the Darling Devils series.

Two authors, one couch, a real conversation

Alexandra and Amy talked writing, romance, and the whole Darling Devils journey. The kind of conversation you only get when two authors sit down with a room of readers who already love their work.

A sold-out night

It was a sold-out crowd, every seat taken, every face lit up. Every guest went home with a signed copy of Wild Darling, photos with the authors, and most left with a few new friendships forged over a shared love of books.

Why this matters

This is exactly what we opened the cafe for. A room full of people who get it, where you never have to explain why you love a book, because everyone here already does.
