Our Story

Trilogy of Romance was born from a simple wish: to create the kind of bookstore we'd always wanted to walk into.

As avid romance readers, we saw a gap in the Australian market. Dark romance, spicy indie authors, special editions that make your heart race, so much of what we loved wasn't easy to find locally. We knew there were thousands of readers out there searching for the same books we were, wishing for a space that truly celebrated the genre.

So in February 2024, we decided to build it.

What started as a passion project quickly became something so much bigger. We launched Trilogy of Romance as an online store, curating the kind of books we wished we could find on local shelves: emotionally intense, morally grey, unapologetically spicy romance that makes you feel something.

And now? We've just opened our very own book café in Ascot Vale, Melbourne,  a first-of-its-kind space in Australia dedicated entirely to romance readers.

What We Stand For

We're readers first, booksellers second.

Every book on our shelves has been handpicked because it speaks to what romance readers crave,  angst, spice, forbidden love, morally grey characters, and stories that stay with you long after the last page. We don't just stock bestsellers (though we have those too). We champion indie authors, hard-to-find titles, and the kind of books that don't always get the attention they deserve in traditional bookstores.

We believe in community, not just transactions.

This business was built on connection. Whether you're shopping online or visiting our café, we want you to feel like you're part of something,  a space where you can geek out over your latest book obsession, discover your next read, and know that the people behind the counter are just as romance-obsessed as you are.

We're proudly independent and female-led.

Trilogy of Romance is 100% independently owned and run by the two of us. Every decision, every book choice, every free gift tucked into your order,  it all comes from us. We're building this business the way we wish more businesses were run: with care, intention, and a genuine love for what we do.

What Makes Us Different

Same-day dispatch. We know the excitement of waiting for a new book, so we don't make you wait longer than you have to. Orders placed before 12pm ship the same day.

Free goodies with every order. Bookmarks, stickers, handwritten notes, every package feels like a gift, because it is.

Our Book Café

In February 2026, we opened the doors to our dream: a book café in the heart of Ascot Vale, Melbourne.

It's everything we imagined...  a cosy, welcoming space where you can browse romance books (from dark and twisted to sweet and sapphic), sip great coffee, and stay as long as you like. We host book clubs, author signings, and reading nights. We've created a place where romance readers can connect, discover, and feel seen.
